French Balayage

Surface Painted Balayage

Balayage, in French, means “To Sweep”. This is the best way to visualize Balayage. This service requires me to “paint” lightener onto the surface of the hair; creating a natural, warm, sun kissed glow to the hair. This service is meant for the clients who prefer a low maintenance, natural lightness to their natural locks. I love that Balayage is so creative and free flowing, it can be easily customized to any client; whether you are trying to camouflage greys, are a brunette looking for a bit of contrast, or are blonde and looking for dimension.

Clients who receive this service, generally come in for touch ups every 12 weeks, to 16 weeks.

With French Balayage services, I always suggest coming in every 6 weeks, to 8 weeks, for a Gloss service. This service ensures the longevity of your color, as well as gives your hair a bit of shine.

Creative Balayage

Masters of Balayage

The Creative Balayage is a modified version of a French Balayage; keeping true to the natural appearance of all Balayage services. This type of Balayage gives a brighter and higher contrast - for blondes or brunettes - because it is a full saturation service. Full saturation services are meant for clients who want an intentionally bright or contrasted look, in fewer appointments. This service is meant for clients who want to achieve a more modern Balayage look. Though this look requires a bit more maintenance than the French Balayage, it is still lower maintenance than a Highlight Service.

Clients who receive this service, generally come in for touch ups every 10 weeks, to 12 weeks.

With Creative Balayage services, I always suggest coming in every 6 weeks, to 8 weeks, for a Gloss and Conditioning Service. This service ensures the longevity of your color, as well as gives your hair a bit of shine and some much needed moisture.

Highlights

Babylights vs. Classic Highlights

Babylights are meant to be a seamless, fine weaving of the hair. This service is great for clients who are looking for a lower maintenance highlight, that will provide brighter pops of blonde than a Balayage style. Generally I suggest adding a Root Shadow to this service, so that you maintain a more natural and seamless grow out; however, it is not necessary, if you like the blonde to come all the way up to your roots for a brighter, all over blonde appearance.

Classic Highlights are meant to be a thicker weaving of the hair, that allows for more coverage. This is great for clients who prefer a more solid, all over blonde appearance - or for clients who like to maintain dimension and contrast to their hair. It is also a great service for clients who receive All Over Root Coverage services, to ensure a more natural look to their color.

Clients who receive Babylight services, generally come in for touch ups every 6 weeks, to 12 weeks.

Clients who receive Classic Highlight services, generally come in for touch ups every 4 weeks, to 8 weeks.

With either Highlighting service, I always suggest coming in every 4 weeks, for a Gloss and Conditioning service. This service ensures the longevity of your color, as well as gives your hair a bit of shine and much needed moisture - as Highlighting can be a bit more drying on the hair.

Transitional Color

Transitional Color services are generally a blend of Balayage, Highlighting, and Color Melting or Root Shadow services. This service is meant for clients who want to achieve that “Instagram/Pinterest” blonde, or a high contrast blonde in a minimal amount of time and services. These services require a lot of time and patience, so that we can achieve your hair goals in the healthiest and most realistic way possible.

I require clients to come in for multiple sessions, that must be at least 12 weeks apart; to ensure hair health. Drastic color changes take time to get used to, so this also allows you time to get used to your new color, and be happy with your new look.

Clients who receive Transitional Colior services, must come in for several sessions 10 weeks, to 12 weeks apart. Once we have achieved your hair goals, sessions may be pushed further apart.

With Transitional Color services, I always suggest coming in every 4 weeks, to 6 weeks, for a Gloss and Conditioning service. These services ensure the longevity of your color and hair health. It gives your hair a bit of shine, as well as some much needed moisture, as this service can be a bit more drying on the hair, initially.

Color Correction

Color Correction Services are only required for 3 types of clients - all of these services require a $300 deposit to hold the appointment - which will be put towards your service.

The 1st of these would be a client who has used any Box Dye in their hair, regardless of how much time has passed.

A common misconception about Box Dye, is that it has grown out, or washed out of the hair. Permanent dyes such as these, take years to grow out, or cut out of the hair; so we must first remove the chemicals that were added to the hair, before attempting a professional service. These dyes can cause many forms of discoloration or damage to the hair, if we were to use professional products on it, without knowing beforehand.

Color Corrections for Box Dye clients can take anywhere from 6-8 hours, and will more than likely require several sessions - not corrective sessions - after the initial correction. It is important to be patient with this process, to avoid as much damage to the hair as possible.

The 2nd type of client that would require a Corrective Service, is a client who would like to return to a darker, more natural color - after years of blonding.

Not to be confused with a Transitional Color. This type of service is meant for a consistent blonding client, who wants to return to a permanent shade of brunette or dark blonde. These services require a lot of time and knowledge, so that the hair looks natural and not muddied. To achieve these types of colors. we must add pigment back to the hair, slowly, so that it maintains longevity and natural appearance.

These types of corrections can take anywhere from 4-6 hours, and may require follow up sessions - not corrective sessions - if the hair begins to fade or become muddied.

The 3rd type of Corrective Color is for clients who have used Henna Dyes. These clients are required to come in first for a Test Strand and Consultation Service, before booking any further appointments.

Henna is a very tricky chemical to work with for professionals. The chemicals used in these products can cause severe reactions in the hair. The Test Strand and Consultation will allow us to visualize if a correction is possible, and can be further discussed at that time.
